Friend, what is in your heart today? What does it need? A word of affirmation? An answer to a problem? Deliverance? Maybe you'd just like to feel God's comforting presence.
Well, then, please let me encourage you - you can do it! You got this - together, you and God got this! No matter your situation or heart-space today, it's ok. Know that God's got you. You can reach out to Him, ask for His help, and trust that He will be right there with you to help you. Because, after all, God is our Way Maker! (Did you know that? I didn't realize that for so long!)
Or maybe, just maybe you have something to celebrate? Well, then, dear Friend, if you've got joy - shout it out! Go on, just shout that joy out right now! I'll shout with you!
Let the whole earth shout to the Lord; be jubilant, shout for joy, and sing. Psalm 98:4
Yet, there are times when I find it difficult to feel God's presence, or His assurance that He is there. Do you feel this way sometimes too? I think most of us do, from time to time. So what do we do?
Sometimes we just need to speak words of worship. Sometimes we just need to praise.
When our hearts are burdened, our minds stressed, sometimes we just need to confess He is God, to feel His presence. Through trial and triumph, error and victory, I have found that when I go into a time of just speaking His Name out loud, thanking Him, and praising Him, telling Him I love Him, singing praise songs, just lifting my heart to Him - I find Him. And I feel His comforting presence.
Is anyone among you suffering? He should keep on praying about it. And those who have reason to be thankful should continually be singing praises to the Lord. James 5:13
Did you know, even when you can't feel Him, wherever you are, whatever your need, joy, hardship, sorrow, God is there, right there in your midst? He is. He is your Way Maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, Light in your darkness.
"For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
And He is the joy in the midst of our celebration too, right? Oh, glory hallelujah!
Even when we don't see Him or feel Him, He is there. He never stops working, behind the scenes for our good. He is our Way Maker. That is who He is!
But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.” John 5:17
So, let's stop what we're doing, take a moment and lift our hearts to Him. For Jesus is all we need!
“His purpose in all of this is that they should seek after God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. Acts 17:27
Let's speak it out loud together –
Dear God,
You are my Way Maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper,
Light in the darkness. My God, That is who You are!
I worship You, Jesus!
Amen!
